On May 1, 2022, Amazon will retire its Alexa Internet website ranking and analysis service. This service is unrelated to their popular e-commerce Alexa voice assistant.

In 1999, Amazon acquired Alexa Internet for $ 250 million in stock, three years after its inception. The website has not given a specific reason why they will be shutting down the platform. Customers will still be able to retrieve the data generated from different queries on their platform until December 2022. The last subscription offered by Alexa.com was on Wednesday December 8th.
